Makes approximately 20 servings (serving size, 2 tablespoons)

Cherry Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple, peeled and chopped into small pieces
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped into small pieces
  • ½ cup dried apricots
  • 2 tablespoons raisins, golden or purple
  • 8 ounces honey
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 10 cloves fresh garlic, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds

Directions

Mix the chopped fruit and the rest of the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and lower to simmer for 40 minutes. Stir often, and be careful it doesn’t burn. Cool and refrigerate. Makes about 2 ½ cups.
