Pear / Cherry Dessert

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh, ripe pears
  • Juice from one fresh lemon
  • 1 teaspoon sugar, if desired
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, plus four cherries with stems remaining
  • 1 cup fresh whipped cream

Directions

Peel and slice the pears into a bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar. Wash and pit the cherries and slice them into a separate bowl. In clear glass bowls or stemmed glasses, stack the pears and cherries artistically, and top with whipped cream and a stem-on cherry.
